After breakfast, meet your guide at your guesthouse or hotel in Muang Xay Town at 8:30 AM. Begin your day with a visit to the local morning market, where you will purchase drinking water and fresh local food for your picnic lunch.
From there, depart the town and drive into the surrounding countryside to visit a Tai Lue (Thai Leu) ethnic village. Spend time exploring the village and interacting with the locals to gain insight into their daily lives and traditions. You will have the opportunity to observe various traditional activities such as: beekeeping, hand-weaving fabrics, crafting bamboo baskets used for steaming sticky rice, distilling rice whiskey
Continue your journey to a nearby Khmu ethnic village, where you can walk around and learn more about rural life. Depending on the season, you may see rice, bean and tobacco fields and learn about the traditional tobacco production process (from late October to April). You will also visit a unique tobacco drying house made from straw and clay.
After exploring both villages, continue driving to Muang La, a peaceful area known for its natural surroundings. Here, you will:

- Learn about traditional salt production, including the process of extracting salt from nearby underground sources.

From there, a short 15-20-minute drive by private car or Tuk Tuk takes you to the trekking starting point. The hike begins at a lower elevation, following small streams and crossing them several times as you make your way toward Huay Char Village. Along the route, you will pass through areas of young forest and cultivated land used by local communities.
After visiting the village, continue trekking uphill to the mountain top, then follow a scenic ridge trail with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. We will arrive at Mokmeo Village in the late afternoon, where you will spend the night with a local family. This village is one of the best viewpoints in the area, offering wide-open scenery of mountains, valleys, and nearby lakes. We will enjoy a traditional Lao dinner and experience the warm hospitality of the villagers.

Day 2: Mokmeo Village – Trekking Point ending – return Muang Xay
After breakfast, begin your second day of trekking. The trail follows mountain ridges with a mix of uphill and downhill sections, offering more scenic viewpoints along the way. The landscape consists mainly of young forest, bushes, and farmland, as this area is used by local people for growing crops such as corn and for small-scale cattle farming. The open terrain allows for beautiful, unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside.
After approximately 4–5 hours of hiking, you will reach the pick-up point where your vehicle will be waiting.

Day 4: Huaylan village – Saluang village – Namhaeng – Heading back Maung Xay Town. (B/L/_)
After exploring the village and having breakfast, we will begin our trek to Saluang Village, which takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival, we will enjoy lunch and take time to explore the village. After the visit, we will continue trekking to Namhaeng Village (car pick-up point). From there, we will drive back to Muang Xay Town, which takes about 1.5 hours.
