This trekking is quite difficult and hard but it is absolutely beautiful and adventure trekking, we will go up and down high mountain, through the deep jungle and go along stream and cross river many times. On the trekking, you will see the amazing landscape views, high mountain rice, job’s tear and cardamom fields.

Day1: Phongsaly – Dam no: 06 – slow boat on Nam Ou River –  Trekking point-Napoxang Village (Akha Noukouy Ethnic) (_/L/D)

We start from at your guesthouse in Phongsaly Town at 7:30 a.m. in the morning to the Dam no: 06 by a private car/mini van, it takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour and then we will take a slow boat to the trekking point (takes between 35 and 45 minutes. After that we will walk through the bushes, along and through river many times in the deep jungle, hiking up high mountain to the view point (the amazing views) and then we will walk along ridge of  mountain to the village where we are going to spend overnight, it takes 5-6 hours walk. Today we will spend overnight with a local family who are the host and offer us their local food.

Approximately: 1 hour drive, 45 minutes boat trip, 5-6-hour walking. Trekking level: quite difficult and hard.

Day2: Napoxang Village – Peryenxang Kao village – Maichalern village (B/L/D)     

After exploring the village and having breakfast, we will continue our hiking from Napoxang village to Peryenxang Kao village, it takes between 1,5 – 2 hours walk and have lunch there. After having lunch there, we will walk down to visit one more village, it is called Maichalern village (takes 1 hour walk) and spend overnight there but I recommend you go back to spend overnight at the village where we had lunch, it is more beautiful view point if you need to walk 1 hour back to the same village(Peryenxang Kao)

Day3: Maichalern – Chakhampa – boat port-Dam no: 06 – Back phongsaly town (B/L/_)

After exploring the village and having breakfast in the morning, we will walk up and down mountain to Chakhampa village and then we walk down to the place where the boat port is (1,5 hour) nd catch our slow boat there back to the Dam no: 06, it takes between 12 and 15 minutes. After that we take our private car back Phongsaly Town.

Today, we will walk along ridge of mountain and you will see amazing landscapes and views covering with the sea of clouds in the moring.

Approximately: 12-15 minutes by slow boat, 1 hour drive, 3-4 hour walking. Trekking level: moderate

What you should bring for the trek: good shoes/boots, long pants, long sleeves, hat, rain coat, flashlight, sun scream, mosquito spray, cloths and flip-flops for changing, towel for washing/taking shower (taking a shower in opened public), equipment.
